pixabay.comDays of Russian capital started the day before in Vienna, as per the website of World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots. The festival programme was opened by the ceremony of laying flowers by the monument to Soviet soldiers installed at one of the central squares in Vienna.

According to the head of the capital administration delegation Sergei Cheremin, the sacrifice and deeds of fighters who gave their lives for freedom of Vienna’s citizens and other European cities will remain in the memory of generations to come forever.

Moscow chamber Schnittke orchestra and Quattro music band were performing in The Vienna City Hall in the evening.

Apart from cultural programme, extensive business agenda is in action. Representatives of administration from both capital cities together with Viennese and Moscow businessmen discussed topical questions of infrastructure development in metropolitan cities, interaction in the field of renovation of city environment and environmental protection.

Guests from Russian capital will get acquainted with some infrastructure objects of Vienna at the several round tables.

Presentation of Moscow infrastructure will take place in Museum complex today. A photo exhibition of the most interesting scenes of life in the capital city to be displayed. Fine arts devotees will be able to see works by young artists from Russia.

The cultural programme of Days will end up with the concert of students from Cadet military school.
