He said this during his conversation with his colleague from Russia State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. Their meeting took place in Moscow on November 13, TASS reports.

Slovak parliament has reminded that at present this direction has declined. We would like to revive studying and teaching Russian at the previous level, as there is a decline here, Andrej Danko has claimed.

In his opinion, the Russian language studying is very important for educational system of Slovakia. The speaker is sure that a person cannot be fully educated if they do not speak one of the Slavic languages. Besides, he has underlined that education should not be limited to studying languages of the western countries only.
Andrej Danko has also supported extension of students’ exchange programmes between universities of Russia and Slovakia.
