Presidents of Russia and United States of America have made a mutual statement about political solution of the military conflict in Syria in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and Geneva process at APEC summit in Da Nang, TASS informs.

Following the results of their meeting on the sidelines, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have also agreed to support military liaisons. In their opinion, this would help avoiding various incidents with participation of those who wage war with Islamic State banned in Russia.

Presidents of the two countries have declared in favor of the territorial integrity of Syria and its independence. They agreed on importance of de-escalation zones created in there. Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump called the opponents for allowing humanitarian access to these zones.

The statement of the leaders of Russia and US also contains appeals to all UN members for more active involvement into humanitarian supplies of food and essential goods to Syria to satisfy basic needs of local population.
