Russians participate in French Ethnografilm festival

pixabay.com36th International Ethnographic film festival opened in Paris, Russian Witness newspaper informs.

66 documentaries are going to be screened in the course of this major festival. There are nine films from Russia and CIS countries among them.

The Ethnographic film festival commitee aims to aquaint audience with visual anthropology and documentary filma raising ecology, social and cultural issues.
The Earth of Love by liivi Niglas (Estonia) was named among one of the most interesting films. It tells the story on Nenets, indigenous peoples of the Far North Russia. Documentaries of Rodion Ismailov, Maria Murashova and Aleksandr Kuznetsov to be also presented.

Upon completing screenings Q&As with directors, ethnographers and anthropologists are planned.

The entrance to all screenings is free.
