Paris craves for another Matilda

09.11.2017

screenshot from MatildaMatilda, the last film of Aleksey Uchitel that triggered a controversial reaction in Russia, caused an extraordinary hype in Paris. There were no available tickets few hourrs before the screening.

Movie goers were asking for a spare ticket, creating even more chaos before the screening. Due to a massive influx some extra seats had to be allocated, and the film started later than it was planned.

Due to the such success another daytime screening is planned for today, November 9th. Unfortunately Matilda's director couldn't come to Paris due to his busy schedule.

Let us remember, 15th Russian Vision festival has opened in Paris, the day before. Arrythmia by Boris Khlebnikov, Loveless by Andrey Zvyagintzev, Salyut 7 by Klim Shipenko and other new but already popular Russian films are presented in the frames of the festival.
