Kevin McCoy//wikimedia.orgAmerican Congress is going to allocate four and a half billion dollars for struggling with Russia’s influence in Europe, TASS informs. Unites States Department of Defense has issued a draft law with these statements.

The new law authors have explained that this money will be spent on so-called deterrence of Russia’s aggression. In their opinion, this would help develop military potential of the US in Europe and facilitate strengthening of their military European NATO allies.

One hundred million out of this amount will be allocated to the Baltic States with purpose to raise their defense capacity.

The draft will be agreed with House of Representatives, then approved by the Senate and finally signed by the White House. The experts believe that the voting will happen vey soon.

The total defense budget of US for financial year of 2018 should amount to around seven billion US dollars, which is more than was requested by the Presidential administration.
