National Museum of China hosts exhibition about Russian October Revolution

State Historical Museum of Russia presented an exhibition in the capital of China, RIA Novosti informs. The exposition is located in National Museum of China. The gala opening ceremony was timed with 100th anniversary of the Great October Revolution.

Personal belongings of Revolution and USSR leaders – Lenin and Stalin, banners of that epoch, documents, paintings and drawings were placed among the exhibited items.

Some of these items have never been exhibited before beyond Russia, in particular, the painting by Pavel Sokolov-Skalya titled Taking of The Winter Palace.

The Chinese party initiated the exhibition. The exposition was prepared by experts from China and Russia.

According to Russian Ambassador to Beijing Andrey Denisov, interaction of museums of both countries turned into another motivation of growth of cultural ties for the both countries. The diplomats expressed hope that the number of exhibition projects of Russia and China will increase year by year as they evoke positive feedback of the society.

Director of the Historical Museum Alexey Levykin has added that Russia and China respect history and value peace focusing on future. Our countries are building very close ties in all directions and the deepening of humanitarian connections represent colorful integrity of Russian-Chinese exchanges, he commented.
