French public figure Dmitry Koshko receives Russian citizenship

03.11.2017

French journalist and public leader Dmitry de Koshko has received Russian citizenship. Dmitry was born in a family of Russian immigrants. The corresponding act was signed by Russian president. The document is posted on Russian legal documents' official portal.

Parents of de Koshko belonged to the powerful Boyar family, and were forced to leave Russia after October Revolution in 1917. Hence, almost 100 years ago they have stayed in France.

Currently Dmitry is a head of URAL FRANCE association and a member of Russian Book Days in France commitee. He leads Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in France and regularly takes part in Russkiy Mir Assemblies.

Let us remember, last year Dmitry was awarded with the Order of Friendship for promoting bilateral relations between our countries, popularization of French culture and language in Russia.
