St. Seraphim of Sarov Cathedral sanctified in Thailand

Orthodox Church in Thailand websiteA new cathedral in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov is opened at the Phangan Island, as per the Orthodox Church in Thailand website. Lesser consecration of the cathedral and Divine Liturgy was served by Russian Orthodox Archimandrite Oleg. Archpriest Daniil Vanna and priests from other functioning churches of the Kingdom took part in the Liturgy. The choir of Cathedral of St. Nicholas together with Regent Vadim Marshalkovsky arrived at the Phangan Island to take part at the ceremony from Bangkok.

News about the forthcoming inauguration of new cathedral made benefactors and many our compatriots come to the Phangan Island together with priests to take part in the joint prayer. After the church service was over, Archimandrite Oleg thanked everybody for their adequate contribution into the construction of the House of God.

The choir of St. Nicholas Cathedral executed the Royal hymn due to the national mourning. After the Cross Procession and prayer to St. Seraphim of Sarov, everybody was invited to the gala dinner.
