Russian Ambassador to US Anatoly Antonov took part at the opening ceremony. The diplomat has greeted the audience and noted that the Youth Forum contributes to promotion of the positive image of Russia and that the active life attitude of young expats plays a major role in implementation of projects directed at preservation of national identity and reinforcing of Russian language and culture.

Anatoly Antonov has reminded the audience that various youth organizations play a leading role in such social campaigns as Immortal Regiment and St. George’s ribbon and called them for keeping the grandeur of Russia in future. The diplomat has reminded that the whole world is celebrating a hundred’s anniversary of the Great October Revolution, which, in particular, incited the first wave of Russian migration to Europe and US. He has expressed hope that such forums gathering Russian Americans will facilitate reconciliation and unity of peoples.
