Russian-speaking lawyers from abroad discuss expat rights protection in Moscow

pixabay.comSecond Session of International Association of Russian-speaking Lawyers took place in Moscow, according to Guild of Russian Lawyers’ website. Around 80 society members representing Russia and foreign countries participated in the event. Representatives of Russian Federation power structures, employees of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Justice Ministry and various public organizations were present too.

International Association of Russian-speaking Lawyers’ President Gasan Mirzoev made a report on the Association’s activities. Special attention was paid to frequent cases of extradition to US of Russians arrested abroad. He stressed the unacceptability of such actions.

Gasan Mirzoev’s report evoked a vivid discussion. He answered all questions exhaustively. The audience discussed the situation with European Court of Human Rights and complaints of Russians and our compatriots.

Such topics as legal assistance to expats unfairly involved into the criminal activity, collaboration of Russian and Israel in the field of criminal law, counteraction to illegal sanctions of the western countries related to the peninsula and its citizens and many others were discussed at the Session.
