Zuev Petr/TASSThe gala closing ceremony of 19th World Festival of Youth and Students was held yesterday in Bolshoi Ice Palace, TASS informs.

The show organizers tried their best to involve each participant in the closing ceremony, so it was very interactive: each guest got a special bracelet, which illuminated and changed color depending on the surroundings.

Enrique Dominguez from Brazil thanked organizers and volunteers for the completed work. He has also underlined that young people from all over the world strive for preserving peace on Earth, changing the situation for the better and achieving the equality of rights.

In his turn, President of World Federation of Democratic Youth Nikos Papadimitriou has noted that the festival provides for young people an opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas as well as set contacts. He has also called the young people to join efforts for fighting terrorism.

The ceremony has ended up with fireworks of four thousand shots.

It is worth reminding that the main activities of 19th World Festival of Youth and Students will take place in Sochi. A specialized programme was prepared for the guests including acquaintance with the inviting country. Foreign guests will be able to visit fifteen Russian cities, meet their peers and get to know culture of multinational Russia better.

The Russkiy Mir Foundation is a partner of 19th World Festival of Youth and Students’ administration contributing to attraction of foreign participants.
