Russian President AdministrationRussia would make everything possible for internal unity in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin promises. He has made this statement during his speech at Valdai International Discussion Club, TASS informs. According to him, this is to happen eventually, the earlier the better.
He called Ukrainians a fraternal nation. Vladimir Putin has expressed hope that relations between the two countries will be restored emphasizing that Russia as well as Ukraine needs it.

President has reminded that around a million of Ukrainians has moved to Russia lately. That is a misfortune of Ukraine, he believes. Putin has stated that the neighboring country is going through a process of deindustrialization, when factories are not functioning, Russian market share has been lost, whereas Ukrainian goods are not popular in other states.

Russian leader has added that nobody doubts that Kiev fails to execute Minsk agreements. At the same time, there is not another way out of the conflict at the southeastern Ukraine apart from Minsk-2.
The West should influence Kiev to regulate the Ukrainian crisis. The head of state is sure that unacceptability of the present situation is more than evident. To address Russia is not enough, they need to influence Kiev’s position, Putin said. He gave a new law About Education as an example. Hungary, Romania and a part of Poland protested against the law, but the European Union keeps silent on the whole. Why don’t they criticize it? Silence! Russian President noted.

According to Putin, the current situation on Ukraine is a result of anti-constitutional take-over and he blames Europe for supporting it.
