Gzhel ensemble performs in Finland

YleMoscow State Academic Dance Theatre Gzhel is touring in Finland, portal Yle reports. The touring schedule includes Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu.

Traditional Russian folk ensemble offering an exciting musical and visual Russian journey has big success abroad. Performers have been in Finland seven years ago in the spring, when the lilacs are in bloom. The acting director of the troupe Valentina Slukhganova was so much impressed by the flowers that she has staged the Lilac Dance which is going to be performed during this tour.

Gzhel is famous for the high performing art level and unique traditional Russian costumes. Interlacing of red, yellow, green lines is typical for Zhostovo trays, and white and blue colors typical for Gzhelian crafts.

Moscow State Academic Dance Theatre Gzhel prepared a surprise performance specially for the Finnish audience.
