Tennis player Maria Sharapova wins Tianjin Open

In play-off, she left behind Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in two sets with score 7:5 and 7:6. It is already 36th victory in the career of Maria Sharapova over the last 2,5 years. It will enable the tennis player to enter a new Top-60 WTA ranking.

It is noteworthy that Russian tennis champion did not lose any rounds. The play-off was the most difficult set for her. Maria Sharapova literary snatched the victory in the second set from Sabalenka having gained several games and taken the victory in tiebreak with score 10:8. The most titled tennis players did not come to Tianjin as this competition is organized for the fourth time and is not included into WTA Premier series. However, it does not lessen the importance of Maria’s success.

It is worth reminding that last Friday Maria Sharapova outplayed Peng Shuai, China, in two sets.
