Russia to become honored guest at the book exhibition in Saudi Arabia

pixabay.comRussia to become the honored guest at the book exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia RIA Novosti informs. Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky has informed about this marking that current agreement was reached as the result of negotiations with his Saudi counterpart.

Russian official has also claimed that Moscow currently expects an official invitation from Saudi Arabia. Medinsky expressed his confidence that the Russian culture promotion is the best way to generate interest in our literature in Arabian world. The world biggest book exhibition in the Middle East is planned for March 2018.

It is worth reminding that the Week of Russian Culture to be held in 2019 in Saudi Arabia. As a result of their negotiations Vladimir Putin and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have signed 14 documents on cooperation in various fields, including culture.
