Volunteers meet the delegates of the WFYS 2017

Vladimir Smirnov/TASS5,000 young people from 85 Russian regions and CIS countries volunteer at the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students, TASS reports. Many of them have already arrived to Sochi and starting to help the festival participants to go around Sochi city.

Organizers have settled the schedule dividing volunteering in three shifts and several sectors. Some of the volunteers have already participated in other large-scale events including Olympic games and Confederations Cup. All the volunteers have passed courses and very well acquainted with Sochi.

Volunteers have admitted that despite the grey sky the festive ambience is there.

Let us remind, World Festival of Youth and Students 2017 kicks off in Russia today. About 20,000 people from 180 countries to participate in the festival.
