Cuba to receive vast humanitarian help from Russia

Flickr/Pedro SzekelyRussia has sent 300 tonnes of humanitarian help by sea to Cuba, TASS reports. Ships loaded with 17 containers of first-aid supplies and construction materials are heading now from Novorossiisk to Havana.

Russian EMERCOM press-service stated that Russian authorities have decided to support the Cuban victims of Irma hurricane. Russia has supported Cubans with humanitarian help numerous times in the frames of bilateral and multilateral agreements between our countries.

Vladimir Putin has expressed the will to support Cuba and its locals suffered from the hurricane. It's worth mentioning that all Russian tourists have been evacuated before the hurricane has hit the island.
