Lighthouse of Genoa festival marked 125th anniversary of Marina Tsvetaeva

Lighthouse of Genoa Press-service2 International Festival of Arts Lighthouse of Genoa has completed in Russian House, Genoa. The event coincided with Days of Moscow in Italy and 125th anniversary of Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva. Local administration and Moscow authorities have supported the event.

The festival initiators are poets-translators Irina Kovaleva and Ivan Belokrulov, and The Moscow House of Compatriots director Vladimir Lebedev. The place for the festival was not a random choice. Genoa was appreciated by several Russian poets and writers, like Nikolay Gogol, Osip Mandelshtam, Marina Tsvetaeva and many other Silver Age personalities who were inspired by this beautiful port city.

Not only literature, but also theater and film were celebrated in the frames of the festival. Performances, master classes and round tables with participation of the General Consul of Russia in Genova Marat Pavlov and Minister of the Moscow City Government Sergey Cheremin.

For a few days the Russian House turned into the Red Hood film set, entertaining kids. Simultaneously, meetings with creative musicians, fashion designers, historians and of course literature personalities were on the schedule.

There were some events outside Russian House, generally festival has spread around the city.

The city administration has organized tours around Portofino, Santa Margherita, Milan and other Italian cities for the festival participants.
