State Pushkin Museum to mark 60th anniversary

pushkinmuseum.ruCitizens and guests of the capital can visit Pushkin State Museum free of charge today, TASS reports. This is a way to celebrate the anniversary of the museum’s foundation. It celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

Today the entrance is free to Pushkin Museum at Prechistenka, the memorial flat of the great poet, museum flat of Andrey Beliy, House-museum of Vasiliy Pushkin from 12 00 p.m. – 9 00 p.m. Exhibition halls located in Denezhny lane are working free of charge too.

Thematic excursions are prepared in honor of the jubilee. In particular, director of the Pushkin Museum at Prechistinka Evgeny Bogatyrev will be a tour guide. Director of All-Russia’s Pushkin Museum in Saint Petersburg will help his colleagues to conduct celebrations of the museum’s anniversary. He will show the guests around the exposition Naschokinsky house – a trip from Saint Petersburg to Moscow.

At the coming tea party guests will  be treated with self-made jam made by museum workers. Each jar will have a plate with the author’s name and the recipe.

Maxim Averin will perform at the celebration. He will read Snowstorm poem by Pushkin accompanied by Nikolaev Youth Symphonic Orchestra. Musicians will play music by Georgy Sviridov.

Fluffy Soul film by All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography graduate Maria Linder will be premiered at the jubilee. The author tried to present Pushkin as a contemporary poet. The film consists of thoughts about the poet by fifty people. Heroes of the movie are cultural figures, writers and cosmonauts.
