Taganka Theater websiteTaganka Theater celebrates 100 years anniversary of its founder Yuri Lyubimov, who dominated Russian theatre for half a century, IA Interfax reports. The Soviet and Russian stage actor and director is associated with the internationally known Taganka Theatre, which he founded in 1964. Lyubimov was born on September, 30 1917, the year Russian Revolution has started, and lived a long life of 97 years. He's staged over 100 dramas and operas.

There's an interactive museum created in the memory of the director in the theater. The exhibit tells 50-years theater story, while it was gestured by Yuri Lyubimov. His cabinet with unique objects, such as famous table lamp, guitar of the famous actor Vladimir Vysotski, walls covered with signatures of his friends and colleagues attract visitors' attention.

The virtual tour on the backstage, dressing rooms, and demonstration of the main Lyubimov's theater works are very engaging as well.

It is the Open Doors Day in Taganka Theater today, on the birthday of the renowned master. The ticket for the evening performance costs the symbolical price of 1 ruble.
