Russian movie wins Orthodox Cinema Festival in Serbia

The Way for Two by Russian director Alexander Kuprin has won Grand Prix of III International Festival of Orthodox Cinema Festival The Strong in Spirit which took place in the Serbian city of Krucevac, website Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia informs.

Moreover, the jury has complemented the movie by archpriest Alexander Novopashin Close to Us in the nomination The Best Game Movie. This movie has also won the People’s Choice Award. On the Verge of Reason by Milana Mayar (the Serbian Republic) was acknowledged as the best documentary.

Volhynia film by Polish film director Wojciech Smarzovski has won in two nominations taking Awards of Journalist and Youth jury boards.

The Palekh miniature lacquer painting was received by Ivan Jovic for his movie The Will and as a specialized award for preserving historical memory, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Slavic peoples.

Thirteen movies from ten countries were included into the main contest agenda of the Festival of Orthodox Cinema. They were demonstrated in the White House of Cultural Center in Krucevac.
