Russian Golden Ring to become a government institution

pixabay.comRussian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky during a retreat in Plyos, Ivanovo Oblast, has announced that Russian Golden Ring will receive a status of governmental institution by the end of t his year, TASS reports. He has specified that this structure is going to be modeled after UNESCO.

As per Medinsky, currently Golden Ring is one of Russian brand names. However, by the the end of 2017 it will be converted into formal organization with its own commission and experts who would carefully select new candidates to be a part of the historic Russian travel route. Minister of Culture has mentioned that authorities of cities and towns who would like to be part of the Golden Ring route, will have to take great efforts to restoration of monuments and providing optimal conditions for inhabitants and tourists.

As we mentioned earlier, Rostourism plans to expand famous touristic path. Most likely Tula and Kolomna to be included in the Golden Ring route very soon.
