Concert at Red Square opens jubilee festival Spasskaya Tower

pixabay.comThe International Military Music Festival Spasskaya Tower have started in Moscow last eekend. The traditional venue for gala opening ceremony traditionally will be the Red Square. The Festival celebrates its 10th jubilee this year, TASS informs.

Various concerts by Russian orchestra and music bands from abroad, equestrian shows are on the festival bill. Besides, there are activities for young spectators. Military performers from Russia, China, India, Turkey, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Chile and Egypt perform by the walls of ancient Moscow Kremlin for nine days.

A contest for wind orchestra of children and youth take place as a part of the festival. Master-classes, thematic sports and music activities are planned for their participants. Riders from Rosgortsirk, the Kremlin Equestrian School, the Honored Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment and Chile Escuadra Ecuestre de Palmas de Peaflor perform at the festival as well.

Participants honor the memory of its first and the only music director and composer Valery Khalilov who died in plane crash over the Black Sea.

It is worth reminding that concerts by military orchestra from different countries are to be included into celebration of Russian capital jubilee.

Festival Spasskaya Tower became an important event of Moscow’s cultural life. At this, there are no other events that could be compared with this festival when it comes to massive participation and territory content. Military orchestra concerts are held in almost all Moscow districts.
