The information about Washington’s intention to close one of four Russian General Consulates has leaked to mass media, writes newspaper Kommersant. Russian diplomatic circles believe that most likely US wants to bring the number of Consulates to parity with Russia. There are four Russian consulates in New York, San Franzisco, Seattle and Houston, and only three US consulates in Saint Petersburg, Vladivostok, and Ekaterinburg.
