Armoured truck surrounded by cadets, 1917/wikipedia.orgPresentation of the book titled 'Russian Revolution and Storms through a Century. 1917 – 2017' by well-known literary historian Achala Moulik took place in Bangalore, India, as per TASS. The book’s author present at the event has noted that the scientific work published by her is the first book in India dedicated to the tragic events of a century ago, which influenced the history of Russia and the whole world a lot.

Senior Counselor for the Russian Embassy in India Sergei Karmalito and high political officials of Karnataka state, diplomats, scientists and historians, public figures and those whose work activity is directly connected to development of collaboration with Russia were present at the event. Our diplomat has emphasized that tragic events of 1917 were an important lesson for all of us. This lesson should be taught well, so that no country in the world would repeat it.

The topic of the Great October Revolution evoked the interest of Achala Moulik when she was a student. Together with her husband, she has been planning to write a scientific book devoted to Russian history of XX century by describing the Revolution. The historian dedicated her book to the memory of former Russian Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin, giving him proper respect in terms of reinforcing Russian-Indian relations.
