Foreigners learn Russian language in Omsk

Inhabitants of more than 20 countries have arrived to Omsk to study Russian language, RIA novosti informs. Summer school of Russian language and area studies has been opened by the Omsk State Technical University. 50 lucky students were chosen out of hundreds applicants, according to the University OMTU Principal Anatoly Kosukh.

The grant for the school was allocated by the Ministry of Education. The grant covers living and food expenses in Russia. Students have to pay only for the travel. Participants are coming from Greece, Egypt, Vietnam, Italia, Spain, China, and other countries. Besides studies they will be introduced into the cultural life, history, points of interest of Siberia.

Anatoly Kosukh has expressed the hope that foreign students are going to be fulfilled with new cultural experience. He has also expressed the hope that students will become friendship ambassadors in their own countries.
