Donald Trump to sign new round of anti-Russian sanctions

29.07.2017

Donald Trump is going to sign new round of sanctions that were approved several days ago by the US House of Representatives. According to some US politics experts, the Congress “has handcuffed” Trump on this issue.

Let us remember, The US House of Representatives approved a new round of anti-Russian sanctions by the overwhelming vote.

In Moscow this action was called yet another great obstacle to normalize Russian-American relations. The measures could affect European partners of US, as well. Paris, Vienna and Berlin have already opposed the sanctions. Some US business representatives also against such decision.

New law imposes a reduction on holding short-term debt by sanctioned Russian financial institutions from 30 to just 14 days. For oil and defense sectors that term is reduced from 90 to 30 days. European companies that want to participate in Northern Stream 2 project are going to experience very serious penalties on US market.
