Podmoskovnye Vechera (Moscow Nights) and Katiusha where the center of attention in Havana. Cuban Mariana de Gonitch Singing Academy students have performed favorite Russian songs at the concert dedicated to the coming 19th World Festival of Youth and Students, TASS reports.

Mariana de Gonitch is a pseudonym of Russian opera singer and teacher Mariana Justikaya who was born in 1900 in Saint Petersburg. She was a famous singer at the time, performing on the best European and American stages. She has met her husband, the Cuban composer Pedro Judo and went with him to Cuba. Justikaya has taught Иel canto several generations of Cuban singers in the course of the next half century.

The concert is called Sochi, Cuba Welcomes You. According to the director of the Academy Hugo Osle, large delegation from Cuba will come to Sochi.

Let us remind you, 19th World Festival of Youth and Students will be held in Sochi this fall. Moscow, St Petersburg, Sevastopol, Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, Sevastopol and many other cities will join in.
