Second day of Surdolympic games brought Russia 12 medals

Russian athletes won 12 medals at the Surdolympic games in Turkey, TASS reports.

Judoists earned the most amount of awards. Ruslan Aksenov has received gold, while Alina Pozdneeva, Chayana Oorzjak and Sergey Belyaev – silver, and Liana Timasheva has got a bronze medal. Dina Droganova has won the 50m Rifle final.

The swimming competition also called a success. The best one was Viktoria Terentieva, who was the first at the 200-meter free style. Also Russians were the leaders at the medley and women relays. Vladimir Grigoriev took silver at the bowling tournament.

After first two days the Russian team keeps firmly the first place at the medal count. It has earned 5 golds, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Ukrainian sportsmen keep second, and the tournament hosts – the third place.

It is worth mentioning that Surdolympic games are conducted apart of Paralympics, because athletes with hearing problems compete following the same set of rules and the same tracks as regular athletes.
