Russian media from abroad received WARP awards

The Russian Government buildingRussian government honorary certificates went to four foreign Russian-language editions, TASS reports. The solemn ceremony took part in Minsk in the framework of the World Congress of Russian Press. The media have received recognition for the activities aimed to preserve Russian language and Russian culture abroad. Besides all, these efforts contribute to consolidation of Russian compatriots around the globe.

The awards were received by Belorussian Publishing House Zviazda (The star), Moldovian newspaper The Russian Word, Uzbek online newspaper News from Uzbekistan, and Estonian Publishing House Inforing-Media.

Let us remind you that last year Portuguese newspaper The Word, Tajik newspaper The Evening and Cyprus News received honorary certificates.

As we reported, 19th World Congress of Russian Press has started working in Minsk today. More than 200 journalists from 50 countries are taking part in it.
