Russian Revolution history reconstructed in Ivangorod Fortress

Ivangorod Fortress Historical recostruction of year 1917 will take place in Leningrad Oblast to mark the 100th anniversary of Russian Revolution, TASS reports. 

The event will take place in medieval Ivangorod Fortress established by Ivan III in 1492. The fortress overlooks Narva River and the Estonian border. On the other side of river Narva Hermann Castle and the Estonian city of Narva are located.

There are five fortresses in the area. This region is very popular for historical reconstruction festivals. The culture chairperson of the local administration Evgeny Tchaikovsky has commented that they have decided to make revolution events recostruction in Ivangorod Fortress.

World War I Historical recostruction and Festival of the War History recreating events of Livonian War took place in Ivangorod Fortress in the past.
