These days Andrei Tarkovsky films retrospective is widely presented in France, TASS reports.

The biggest retrospective is going on now at the Festival du Film de la Rochelle. Festival representative commented that “unforgettable pleasure” awaits the viewers. There are 10 Tarkovsky's features, including his early short The Steamroller and the Violin.

Another Tarkovsky's retrospective comprising 7 major features can be seen at the Cinematheque Francaise Film Center and Museum in Paris. “Tarkovsky is a genuine Russian person who created highly spiritual films, which have become the best examples of European cinema”, written in the Cinematheque Film Center's playbill.

Restored versions of five master's features are shown in few other French cinema theaters. On top of that, Potemkine Films company has reissued Stalker in two formats: DVD and Blu-ray.
