Bank of Russia issues commemorative 2018 World Cup coins

The Central Bank of the Russian FederationThe Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues commemorative coins on the occasion of 2018 World Cup. They will be available starting July, 4th, RIA Novosti reports.

There are four silver commemorative coins of 3 rubles and 25 rubles non-precious metal commemorative coin. The main background of each 3 ruble coin is made in the form of “ornament, consisting of elements that reflect Russian culture and folklore heritage, as well as the football world”. Each coin is dedicated to one of the cities hosting matches of the 2018 World Cup: Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad and Saransk.

The image of the official emblem of the 2018 World Cup is placed on reverse of 25 rubles coin.

The mintage of each 3 rubles commemorative coin is 24 thousand, and little bit less, around 20 thousand, of 25 rubles coins.
