Jury found all suspects in Boris Nemtsov’s murder guilty

30.06.2017

The hearings on the murder case of a well-known Russian politician Boris Nemtsov have completed, as per RIA Novosti. They were held in Moscow district military court. Members of the jury have stated a verdict of guilty. They found all five suspects in this case guilty. An assumed killer Zaur Dadaev was among them. Ten members out of twelve voted for his guilt. Eight members of jury did not think he deserved leniency.

It is worth reminding that five people suspected in the murder of Boris Nemtsov were arrested at the beginning of spring two years ago. One of the detained suspects pleaded guilty and asked the court to “scrutinize the case and complete it in accordance with the law”.

As the Russkiy Mir Foundation advised earlier, the former Russian vice premier and ex governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Boris Nemtsov was killed in Moscow at the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge late in the evening on February 27, 2015.

At the session of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded to pay the most precise attention to detection of much-publicized crimes like the murder of Boris Nemtsov.

According to one of the versions, the murder was committed to destabilize a political situation in the country.
