Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to arrange cross years of Russia and Vietnam, TASS reports. Russian President stated this proposal in the course of negotiations with his Vietnam counterpart Tran Dai Quang who was with an official visit in Russia. 

Vladimir Putin has emphasized that two countries are tied by special relations. In his point of view, thisvisit of Vietnam President is a perfect reason for developing these strategic ties. Besides, 25th anniversary of groundbreaking bilateral agreement’s signature about friendship between Russia and Vietnam will be celebrated in a year. Russian leader has explained that these cross years of Russia in Vietnam and Vietnam in Russia can be dedicated to this date. 

He has also added that despite the turnover between our countries fell down by 1.5 percent last year; it has increased by 16 percent in the first months of 2017. Vladimir Putin has said that these are very good tendencies. 

Russia and Vietnam have mutual plans, large projects and a visit of Tan Dai Quang to Moscow would enable another discussion of their development. 

President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has expressed his gratitude to Vladimir Putin for accepting the invitation for paying a visit to Vietnam. Hanoi will host APEC summit at the end of the year and Russian President is going to be present at this event.
