A conference dedicated to social innovations in educational sphere took place in Geneva, as per TASS. Russian organization Friendship Vector arranged the conference with support of Russian Foreign Ministry and UN Depository Library.

23 countries took part in the conference. They presented their own pogrammes and shared information on how to attract children to take part in significant social-cultural initiatives.

The Head of Russian Ministry of Education Olga Vasilyeva has welcomed the participants and remarked that the fact that the conference is held at the UN venue proves a high estimation of results of the All-Russian social initiatives’ development programme for children and youth as well as The Book of Friendship schoolchildren voluntary society.

In her opinion, the forum has become a ground for leading a constructive dialogue of the international educational environment.

It stands to remind that The Book of Friendship is a kind of social and cultural diary where children are able to talk about themselves and their families; they can share experience of participation in social projects and get acquainted with life of their counterparts from abroad.

The format of the project supposes mutual exchange of diaries of children from different corners of Russia and various countries, discussions of creative and cultural tasks described by schoolchildren at the pages of their copybooks and sent to their counterparts.
