15.06.2017

vksrs.comKorean Society of Russian Language and Literature Teachers celebrated 30th anniversary, as per website of World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots. The organization is 30 years old this year. A specialized conference in the capital city of South Korea at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies was conducted to mark this date.

Many participants of the scientific forum came from Russia. They presented 17 works about teaching Russian as a foreign language. According to organizers, this figure is a particular record.

Challenges of teaching Russian, studies of bilingual children and questions of preserving Russian language in a foreign environment were touched upon.

The conference became an effective discussion panel for professional and, which is very important, friendly communications of Russian compatriots teaching at Korean universities.

The event ended up with an amateur concert. Students and Korean professors of Russian language departments performed lyrical and folk songs. Russian scientists of the Society made a decision to establish own songs’ ensemble and prepare a concert for the next conference in November, devoted to 100th anniversary of the Great October Revolution.
