An agreement was signed between BRICS Mass Media participants

Presidential Administration of Russia BRICS Media Forum for Mass Media in Beijing was concluded with an agreement, according to TASS. Representatives from BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) have signed the Outcome Document on developing cooperation and communication among mass media.

Cooperation plan includes exchange between professionals from media and informational holdings, joint interviews of BRICS participants, press release publications, et cetera.

Parties agreed to develop practical cooperation, pay enough attention to the staff training, exchange publications.

An agreement about creating a professional media platform has become the key moment of the Outcome Document. This type of platform would allow BRICS partners to exchange economic and financial information including real-time mode.

Major media managers agreed to work together.

In a course of the forum the CEO of Xinhua New Agency (China) has proposed to create Media Foundation BRICS. He has confirmed that his agency is ready to invest 1 million dollars in it.

In total, around thirty information agencies, TV channels, papers and other mass media sources take part in BRICS Media Forum.
