625,000 schoolchildren pass Unified State Exam on Russian language in Russia and abroad

09.06.2017

Vyachesav Prokofiev/TASSRussian schoolchildren are taking the Unified State Exam on Russian language today, June, 9, as per TASS. This is the second exam out of two obligatory tests to get a school graduation certificate and continue education in a higher educational institution.

More than six thousand pupils are taking the exam on Russian language at more than five thousand grounds in all regions of Russia. Besides, there is an opportunity to pass this exam abroad too.

School graduates should complete twenty-five tasks divided into two parts. One of the tasks is an essay. The exam lasts for three and a half hours.

Twenty-four scores are enough to get a satisfactory mark, meanwhile thirty-six scores are required to enter a higher educational institution.

The Unified State Exam’s results are to be announced not later than 27th of June.
It is worth reminding that the first wave of the Unified State Exam started on May, 29 in Russian schools. The first tests were on geography and computer science.

This year, procedure of the Unified State Exam stayed almost unchanged. There is just one important difference – now tests on biology, physics and chemistry do not contain multiple-choice questions. Such questions are left only at the exam on a foreign language.

As per the Russkiy Mir Foundation, exams are organized in three stages. Apart from the preliminary stage, the main and additional ones are scheduled. The main wave is to finish until July 1. The additional stage is scheduled for September – October 2017.
