Gaudi exhibited in Russia for the first time

Russian audience encounters amazing art of Gaudi for the first time. The Moscow Museum of Modern Art in partnership with AUREA Cultura I Art introduces Antoni Gaudí. Barcelona exhibition. The project that opens today, marks 165th anniversary of the great architect.

As the museum management comments, the exhibition "Aims at tracing the artistic journey of Antoni Gaudí through his major architectural achievements while revealing the influence of his work on contemporary culture."

MMOMA displays more than 150 works from the most recognized Spanish museums and private collectioners. The showcase includes drafts and technical drawings from artists' student times, some pieces of furniture and interior items from Casa Calvet, and decorative tiles from one of the major works of Gaudí in Barcelona Parque Güell. There are also old photographs of buildings engineered and designed by Gaudi from 1910 artshow in Paris.

The exhibit is divided into 5 parts. They present the master's biography, his architectural experiments, the friendship with his patron, the 1st Count of Güell,and finally two of his most famous creations, the church of the Colonia Güell and Sagrada Familia cathedral.

The exhibition will be open until September 10, 2017.
