A gala opening ceremony of Immortal Regiment permanent exhibition took place at the Irish Military War Museum with support of Moebius and Russkiy Bridge companies, RussianIreland informs. Russian Ambassador to Ireland Maxim Peshkov gave a speech at the ceremony. He thanked the museum director general Willie Sullivan for his interest in the Russian exposition and his readiness for cooperation with our compatriots.

Pictures of Russian compatriots’ relatives with permanent residence in Ireland, video presentations about World War II veterans together with a naval uniform and a cap of Major General of the Soviet Armed Forces are displayed at the exhibition.

Organizers of the permanent exposition have noted that this is just the first step. The exposition is going to be broadened in the nearest future. The museum workers hope that Immortal Regiment exposition will soon contain information about the Irish taking part in Second World War and their pictures.
