Revolution anniversary is central topic of Museum Night

Georgy Sapojnikov/Ekaterinburg/Museum Night2017 Museum Night international campaign to take place from the 20th to 21st of May in Russia will be dedicated to a hundred’s anniversary of the Great October Revolution of 1917 and the Year of Ecology, RIA Novosti informs. This was a decision made by the Russian Ministry of Culture. Besides, the ministry has claimed that some museums plan to organize thematic exhibitions as a part of Year of Ecology in Russia.

Together with leading museums of the country, several theatres, libraries, cultural centers, country estates and parks plan to take part in the main cultural event of the year. Lectures, performances, master-classes, concerts and historical reenactments are to be organized at hundreds of various city grounds.

Totally, more than 250 institutions, including the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, P. N. Fomenko Theatre, Moscow Zoo and other cultural institutions of Moscow will traditionally participate in Museum Night.

More than one hundred and ten museums, galleries and libraries will join the international campaign in the Northern capital of Russia. There will a system of one ticket for entering any museum of Saint Petersburg.
