Ceasefire is main condition of Syrian crisis regulation

Russia intends to create necessary conditions for joining the society in Syria, which might enhance political interaction of the opposing parties, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes. In his opinion, one of the most difficult tasks is to sustain ceasefire regime and to terminate mutual destruction, RIA Novosti informs.

Opposing parties will be able to start political interaction only under these conditions. He reminded that together with Iran and Turkey, Russia managed to achieve a positive change in the course of Astana talks. The work will continue over the next few days in tandem with Syrian party of the conflict.

The head of the country has made this statement after completion of negotiations with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. It is worth reminding that their talks took place in Sochi today.

In her turn, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has claimed that Berlin is supporting truce in Syria. Moreover, she expressed readiness for active cooperation with Russia in the field of anti-terrorism fighting.

Besides, two countries’ leaders exchanged opinions regarding the forthcoming G20 Summit to be held in the middle of summer in Hamburg, Germany. Angela Merkel has added that Russia is a very important partner of G20. One more significant topic was the Ukrainian conflict.
