Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin discuss state of affairs in Syria and Ukraine

Russian President AdministrationRussian President Vladimir Putin holds a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel today. The meeting of two countries’ leaders take place in Sochi, RIA Novosti informs. They plan to exchange opinions in connection with the forthcoming G20 Summit scheduled in the middle of summer in Hamburg, Germany.

Administration of Russian President has explained that Putin and Merkel are going to talk about present relations of Russia and Germany and discuss their further perspectives. Among other topics of conversation is collaboration in the field of power sector, trade and economics as well as culture and education.

Important questions at the international agenda include fighting terrorism, the situation at the Middle East, implementation of Minsk agreements aimed at the Ukrainian conflict’s regulation. Berlin has advised earlier, that the German chancellor is going to focus on the situation in Syria and Ukraine.

The majority of politicians also believe that the state of affairs in Syria and Ukraine is going to become the main subject of talks. At this, a larger part of them agree that the forthcoming meeting of the two leaders is not going to reload relations between Russia and Germany.
