Musicians from Petersburg to perform Russian classics

Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra tour starts on April, 28 in China. First concert will take place in National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing. The principal conductor Alexander Dmitriev will be on stage. According to him, this tour is the second one in two years. Maestro has added that this year the tour will be much longer.

The playbill encompasses compositions of Russian composers, including symphonic music by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, Glinka and Stravinsky. The highlight open-air concert in Shanghai Botanic garden will conclude the tour. Mikhailovsky Theatre of St. Petersburg balley troupe is going to be on stage.

The final concert Saint Petersburg performers will give on May, 13.
