Generations Connection exhibition grand opening took place in Sheremeytyevo International airport on April 18th. It includes best pictures made by photographers from Russia, and countries of the near and far abroad. The Executive Director of the Immortal Regiment movement Elena Kalgina and Executive Director of Russkiy Mir Foundation

Sergey Shurugin, the head of Sheremetyevo Workers' Union Nelly Khomyakova took part in the opening. "We advertised the Generations Connection competition last year. After the Grand Victory parade on May 9th we started receiving photographs from all angles of the world. There were veterans' portraits, pictures of the parade participants, wide shots of the crowd, etc. As a result, we have received about 2000 pictures. More of all we appreciated those photographs that have demonstrated emotions of parade participants who carried portraits of their hero relatives," Elena Kalgina explained.

Photography contest will happen this year as well, as per Executive Director of the Immortal Regiment movement. The rules and application for participation will appear soon on its official website. "One can talk for hours about the Immortal Regiment parade. But it's enough to see the pictures once to understand the  full extent of National People's Action," stressed Executive Director of Russkiy Mir Foundation Sergey Shurugin.

Photoworks of the Immortal Regiment parade participants will be on view in the Terminal E Art Space of the Sheremetyevo airport until May, 17.
