Immortal Regiment will take place in 7 Canadian cities

Immortal Regiment procession will take place in 7 Canadian cities this year, TASS informs. Russian Compatriots organization initiates this action.

According to Natalia Tartushkina, the Board member of Coordinating council of Russian Compatriots of Canada, portraits of the World War Two veterans will be carried on the streets of Toronto, Ontario, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria. There will be 3 parades in the biggest megalopolis with the largest Russian community in Canada, Toronto.

More than 10,000 people will participate in the action. 

There will be also concerts and gala dinners for the veterans and the children of the WW2. Spring 5 and 10 kilometre runs will be organized in Ottawa. In the Canadian capital flower tributes will be laid on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the National War memorial. Canadian Defence Agency prepares welcoming ceremony for the WW2 veterans. Similar ceremonies will take place in the Russian diplomatic representational offices.
