06.04.2017

Russian educational institution is present in the top-100 rating of the best young universities of the world, TASS reports. The Times Higher Education in it's annual publication World University Rankings places The Higher School of Economics (Russia) on the list of universities under 50 years old. In the most recent ranking The National Research University Higher School of Economics occupies 96th place.

World University Rankings applies the same thirteen parameters as the list of the best world universities. Higher School of Economics was on this list last year in the group of higher educational institutions well down below the list.

According to the experts, Russian university performance results look impressive this year, especially when the competition became much stronger due to a bigger number of universities. Earlier this list comprised only one hundred and fifty universities, and now it contains two hundred of higher educational institutions.

An institution is to receive high scores on the main parameters to appear among the first hundred. Higher School of Economics got very high marks in such directions as teaching and research activities. Moreover, for the active collaborating with different economics branches it has rather high marks on “revenue from manufacturing activities”, too.
