First retrospective in 20 years of Yevgeny Khaldei opens in Moscow

05.04.2017

Yevgeny Khaldei
Exhibition of master photographer Yevgeny Khaldei opens today in Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow. The opening is dedicated to 100 birth anniversary of photojournalist, who photographed every Soviet leader from Stalin to Yeltsin, Siege of Leningrad, Göring during Nuremeberg process, Jews as they were liberated from a ghetto, etc.

One of the most significant war photojournalists, his images became part of the Second World War history.

Along with famous images known by everyone, like  Soviet Red Army soldier raising a flag above the German Reichstag, there are some works exposed for the very first time.
As Russkiy Mir wrote earlier, the archive of Yevgeny Khaldei was finally returned from US to the legal owner, the daughter of the photographer Anna Khaldei.
Some of those archive pictures are also presented at the exhibition.

MAMM  representatives stated that although the personal exhibition of the Yevgeny Khaldei was 20 years ago, his works are always on stand when any WW2-related exhibition is organised.
